Every project is unique but this one had even more moving parts.
Homeowner, Mrs B had a life change which took her family from a beautiful home on the Main Line to Costa Rica. This is a 4 bedroom, 4 bath, 4000+ sq foot home in Penn Valley PA that was about to enter a very competitive market. To make matters even a bit more complicated, much of the furniture had gone with them and the house remained only partially furnished. Here’s what we did.
We were brought into the house by the listing agent. We met at the property to come up with a game plan. After an hour, we presented a proposal to the homeowner who promptly accepted.
Day 1: As the family packed up their belongings to move, some items were going with them, others were going into storage. During this time we came in and assisted them in determining what items would be best left in the house to be used for staging versus storage. This process took about 2 hours.
Day 2: With three staff members, we spent the first half of the day re-arranging the existing furniture. We were able to use most of what was left behind. The items we were not able to use, we set aside and labelled them for storage. In the afternoon, we returned to our warehouse and started pulling supplemental furniture, décor, plant materials, art and soft goods.
Day 3: We returned to the property and spent about six hours putting everything into place. The owners were happily moved into their new home in Costa Rica, and their old home looked as appealing as it ever did.
